Summary /Objective

This Commercial/Transit Sales Representative position is responsible for profitably selling buses around the sales territory. Position will help develop sales and marketing strategies for the vehicles.

  1. Develop new sales opportunities for Buses.
  2. Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organizations products/services.
  3. Make telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
  4. Utilize company’s Salesforce CRM program to maintain and monitor pipeline of leads and opportunities.
  5. Provide pre and post-sales support to customers.
  6. Participates in trade shows and conventions.
  7. Embrace and model the Company’s Core Values.
  8. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Must have the ability to sit, walk and stand for lengths of time, throughout the day or as needed. Will be required to safely drive a vehicle to visit customers.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and regular hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; however, this position can regularly require long hours and occasional weekend work.

Travel

Travel is required in the assigned region. Some overnight travel is required to attend tradeshows and OEM sales meetings outside of sales region.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree
  2. 10 years professional sales experience.
  3. Bus transportation and/or heavy-large equipment or related component sales experience.
  4. Maintenance of an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. CRM/Salesforce.com expert.
  2. Valid Non-Commercial Driver License Class B
  3. Computer knowledge with proficiency in MS Word
